WSU to Host USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coaching Course

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State Athletics Strength and Conditioning Department will host its bi-annual USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coaching Course April 6-7 at the Bohler Athletic Complex.

Coach Michael Conroy will lead participants through complete technical progressions of the Snatch, Clean and Jerk and all associated movements. The course will also cover basic training program concepts and technical rules. The 13-hour course will include nine hours of practical application and up to four hours of lecture-based learning.

The course costs $499 and requires a USA Weightlifting membership. Activities run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27. Register HERE. For questions and additional information contact Justin Blatner (jblatner@wsu.edu).
