October 28, 2015 | Football
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Washington State redshirt-senior wide receiver Dom Williams was added to the 2015 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Wednesday.
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the outstanding receiver at any position in college football. Williams joins fellow Cougar wideouts junior River Cracraft and redshirt-junior Gabe Marks on the watch list, making WSU the only team from a power 5 conference with three players on the list and the only Pac-12 Conference team with multiple players on the list. Last season, three Cougars were named to the watch list including Cracraft, Vince Mayle and Isiah Myers. Mayle was later selected as one of the ten semifinalists.
Williams enters the week tied for fourth in the Pac-12 with 41 receptions and six touchdowns along with 562 receiving yards and is third in the conference averaging 80.3 receiving yards-per-game. Williams sits second in school history with 25 career touchdown catches, tied for No. 15 in Pac-12 history and also owns the sixth-most receiving yards (2,411) and eighth-most receptions (158) and in school history. The Pomona, Calif. native set the WSU record with eight career multiple-touchdown games following his 11-catch, 158-yard, two-touchdown performance in the win over Oregon State Oct. 17.
The Biletnikoff Award has opened its online FanVote for voting for Biletnikoff Award candidates on the Biletnikoff Award website. Every fan may vote once daily on the Biletnikoff Award FanVote page. The aggregate fan tally will be counted as one official vote to determine semi-finalists (ten receivers), finalists (three), and the winner.
The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., will announce the ten Biletnikoff Award semifinalists on Nov. 16, following the vote by the 275 members of the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee. Likewise, the three finalists will be declared, following another vote, on Nov. 24. The 2015 Biletnikoff. Award winner will be presented live on Dec. 10, on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
