Attended Curtis High, where he was coached by Bob Lucey...attended Levenworth High as a sophomore, then Curtis High as a junior and senior...JUNIOR year credited with 80 tackles (54 solo, 26 assists) and had eight tackles-for-losses...also had four sacks and two interceptions...team captured State AAA championship...as a SENIOR made 85 tackles (64 solo, 21 assists) and had 15 TFLs, plus two interceptions...named to the All-South Puget Sound League second team for the second time as a safety.
