PULLMAN, Wash. - A stifling USC defense kept Washington State at bay Saturday in a 69-0 loss. The No. 6 Trojans asserted their offensive prowess with a 41-point eruption in the first half, never giving Washington State a chance to fight back.
Kevin Lopina completed six of his nine pass attempts for 30 yards. Logwone Mitz rushed for a team-high 49 yards, while Marcus Richardson added 26.
The Cougars have a bye next week and head to Stanford Nov. 1. The Cardinal dropped a heartbreaker, allowing a UCLA touchdown in the final 10 seconds today.
