WASHINGTON STATE NOTES

With 271 passing yards against the Bruins, senior quarterback Alex Brink moved into ninth place on the Pacific-10 Conference all-time list for career passing yards, passing John Elway of Stanford and Erik Wilhelm of Oregon State.

With his touchdown pass to Brandon Gibson in the fourth quarter, Alex Brink moved into sole possession of eighth place on the Pac-10 all-time list with 69 surpassing Cade McNown of UCLA...WSU quarterbacks have thrown touchdown passes in 76 of the last 80 games...Brink also tied a career best with 13-consecutive games throwing a touchdown pass.

With his career-high 214 yards against UCLA, sophomore running back Dwight Tardy recorded the fourth 100-yard rushing game of his career and second this season...total ties him for ninth on WSU's all-time single game list...most yards rushing by a Cougar since Jerome Harrison's 240-yard effort against Arizona State in 2005...Tardy's 37 carries were a career high and ties him for fifth on WSU's single-game list.

The Cougars led 10-7 after the first quarter, the first time WSU held an advantage after the first stanza this season...WSU had been tied after the first quarter three times this season...Cougars also led at halftime by the same score, marking the third time this season WSU was ahead at intermission...Cougars have won seven of their last eight games when leading at halftime since the beginning of the 2006 season.

Romeen Abdollmohammadi's 41-yard field goal in the first quarter was a career best for the WSU kicker...previous career high was 38 yards, set earlier this season against Arizona State.

With six receptions against the Bruins, senior wide receiver Michael Bumpus moved into 25th on the Pac-10 all-time list with 172...currently second on the Cougars' all-time list, trailing Hugh Campbell's 176.

With one sack, sophomore linebacker Andy Mattingly increased his season total to seven...Mattingly has at least one sack in each of the last three games, recording four against Arizona State and two against Oregon...Mattingly also has three forced fumbles in the last two games, including one tonight.

WSU has scored in 269 consecutive games, the second-longest active streak among Division I schools and the fifth-longest all-time...Cougars have also scored in 250 consecutive Pac-10 games and 198 consecutive games at Martin Stadium.

Cougar kick returner Charles Dillon had 30 return yards against UCLA, moving into fourth place on the WSU all-time single-season list with 545...his 25 returns this season rank fifth on the WSU single-season list.

UCLA's seven points are the fewest against the Cougars this season...Cougars have beaten UCLA six of the last seven meetings.

Aside from Kahlil Bell's 50 yard TD run in the first quarter, UCLA averaged just 1.8 yards per carry (50 yards on 28 carries).

UCLA's Kyle Bosworth's 19 tackles are the most by a Bruin since Eric Turner had 21 against Oregon, Nov. 11, 1989.
