HEAD COACH Bill Doba: "Our special teams made all the difference. The crowd really didn't get out of it
until like the third quarter. They (Oregon) were behind 31 (the quote sheet ended there).
D-COORD. ROBB AKEY: "Our players played hard. Our kids did a great job going after the ball. We had
good focus in this week's practice. They relaced and got their focus back this morning. Josh Parrish did a very
good job for us. He stepped up for us. We were able to do that (quiet the crowd) with the defense and then the
offense; able to shut them up. It's always good when you win. We expected to win this game today. It was a
great game and I am proud of them.
OT Billy Knotts: "I've been hurt for four weeks and I've been looking forward to this game. to have it be
set up the way it was, was amazing. Their fans are really the 12th man. Once the defense made big plays, the
noise went down and we were able to play our game.
DB Jeremy Bohannon: "We had a good game plan coming in. We saw a lot of stuff they were doing and
we just know we had to come out on fire, like we'd been doing. Our main goal was just to get some turnovers
this game. I don't know how many we had, but we did it.
QB Matt Kegel: "It's a great feeling. I think this was a total team effort today, defense played one hell of a
game and I couldn't be more proud of the team. They (defense) did all the work today and they deserve all the
credit.
In the first quarter it was miserable (Oregon crowd). I couldn't really communicate with anyone, but we were
lucky. We made some big plays early on and got the crowd to get kind of out of it. So from about the second
quarter on it was easier to communicate.
It's a great feeling (to win at Autzen Stadium). We stayed in Pullman all summer and we believed in ourselves
and good things happen to teams that stay together and have leadership.
In games like this you've got to pull out everything; you can't hold back. Our coaching staff did a great job of
attacking and then staying on the attack.
I'm proud of the team that I am a part of. They showed tremendous leadership. The defense just dominated.
(I think they are a great team and they got a great coaching staff. Today wasn't their day, but I am sure they will
rebound and then play hard Oregon football. They already and they're a great program. They will rebound and
be fine. (answering what he thought of the SI cover about Oregon).
