Washington State's last four touchdown drives in the UCLA game and first touchdown drive in the Arizona State game combined to take just 1:24 of clock time.

Washington State extended three significant scoring streaks Saturday:

The Cougars have scored in 218 consecutive Pacific-10 games, the longest active streak for any league team...the last time WSU was shut out in Pac-10 play was at Oregon State in 1975;
WSU has scored in 225 consecutive games since a 44-0 shutout at Ohio State in 1984...the streak is the fifth longest among D-I schools.
The Cougars have scored in 178 consecutive Martin Stadium home games since a 21-0 loss to Oregon State in Pullman in 1956.

Senior running back Jonathan Smith has been the catalyst on the ground for Washington State over the past two weeks. Smith rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns against UCLA a week ago and followed up with another rushing score against Arizona State (58 rushing yards for game).

Washington State defensive ends D.D. Acholonu and Isaac Brown moved up the career and season lists in several categories Saturday against Arizona State;

By outscoring Arizona State 10-7 in the first quarter Saturday, Washington State has now outscored opponents 113-25 in the first quarter and 184-87 in the first half this season.

Arizona State freshman kicker Jesse Ainsworth converted a career long 47-yard field goal in the second quarter. His previous best was 43 yards.

With linebacker Pat Bennett's 39-yard interception return for a touchdown, Washington State has turned 22 of the opponent's 40 turnovers into 133 points this year. The Cougars have taken the ball away from the opponents 22 times with interceptions and have recovered 18 of the opponents' 35 fumbles:

Cougar quarterback Josh Swogger hurled his first career touchdown pass with 0:51 remaining in the first half on a 22-yard strike to Devard Darling.

Drew Dunning's 32-yard field goal in the third quarter helped Washington State extends its streak to 26 straight wins when scoring in the third quarter.

Junior wide receiver Devard Darling hauled in five passes for 108 yards and a touchdown against ASU, and moved to fourth on WSU's career touchdown receptions list with 17. Darling's 108-yard output marks the fourth 100-yard receiving day of his career...in just his second season, Darling needs one touchdown reception to tie Nian Taylor and Deron Pointer for second all-time at WSU.

With the win, Washington State moved to 5-0 at Martin Stadium this season, marking the first undefeated home schedule since 1997...the Cougars 6-0 record in home games (including Seattle) tie the 1997 team for best home mark in school history...the Cougars have won nine of their last 10 in Pullman.

DUNNING RECORDS:

Dunning's two field goals against ASU set the WSU career mark with 64 field goals.
Dunning needs eight points to pass school record holder Jason Hanson, now a 12-year NFL veteran with Detroit;
Dunning averaged 107 points a year over the 2001 and 2002 seasons and is currently on pace for a 109-point season;
Dunning stands second to Hanson in several categories:
FG Attempts: Hanson 96, Dunning 83;
PAT Attempts: Hanson 144, Dunning 138;
PAT Made: Hanson 139, Dunning 129;
Dunning's field goal percentage (77.1%) is also the best ever at WSU.

MOORE ON NEAR-RECORD PACE: Sammy Moore is averaging 125.0 all-purpose yards per game, which puts him on pace to finish the year with 1,500 yards...that would place him fifth on WSU's single season list...the top four are Bernard Jackson (2,118 in 1971), Steve Broussard (1,790 in 1989), Rueben Mayes (1,768 in 1984) and Broussard (1,533 in 1988)...Moore has 457 receiving yards, 318 punt return yards and 600 kickoff return yards for 1,375 yards.

WSU START AMONG BEST: WSU's 9-2 start in 2003 is the fifth-best ever for the Cougars through 10 games...the best start was an 9-0 beginning to the 1930 season (finished 9-1, losing to Alabama in the Rose Bowl)...three other Cougar teams have started 9-1...they are the 2002 (9-1), 2001 (9-1) and 1997 (10-1) clubs.

WSU LEADS: In the win over Arizona State, WSU never trailed...it is the seventh game this season WSU has not trailed...against the Sun Devils, the Cougars led for 48:21...the Cougars have led for an average of 44 minutes plus per game this season.

MULTIPLE RECEIVERS: At least seven WSU players caught passes in each of the Cougars' first nine games this year...in all, six wide receivers, two tight ends and three running backs have catches...only three players had receptions in WSU's win over UCLA...six players caught passes against Arizona State.
