WSU scored 20 points off five OSU turnovers. The Cougars have scored 112 points off 31 turnovers this season.

OSU scored 16 points off seven WSU turnovers. Entering the game, the Cougars had committed just 10 turnovers leading to 24 opponent points.

Junior wide receiver Devard Darling hauled in the 15th touchdown reception of his career in the first quarter on a 16-yard strike from Matt Kegel. Darling is now eighth all-time at Washington State in touchdown receptions.

Oregon State safety Mitch Meeuwsen's 45-yard interception return for a touchdown was the first time WSU had been scored on in that fashion since UCLA's Ben Emanuel II took an interception 41 yards for a score in 2002. Meeuwsen, who picked off three passes on the day, now has 14 picks for his career, which is good for second on OSU's career list.

By outscoring Oregon State 14-7 in the first quarter Saturday, Washington State has now outpaced its opponents 89-15 in the opening stanza this season.

Senior kicker Drew Dunning continued to inch toward Jason Hanson's Washington State career scoring record. Dunning tacked on four extra points Saturday to give him 300 career points, just 28 shy of Hanson's 328.

Oregon State senior receiver James Newson extended his streak to 32 straight games with a reception.

Oregon State kicker Kirk Yliniemi tied a career-high by connecting on a 51-yard field goal in the second quarter, giving him four successful kicks of over 50 yards in his career. Ylimiemi also tied a Beaver record by connecting on four field goals Saturday.

Oregon State's 66-yard touchdown pass from Derek Anderson to Mike Hass in the second quarter was the longest scoring pass Washington State has given up this season.

Washington State held Oregon State to 25 plays of three yards rushing or less in the game.

Oregon State's 25-14 halftime lead marked only the second time this season Washington State has faced a deficit at the intermission. New Mexico led WSU 13-12 at the half Sept. 20.

When Oregon State took the lead at the 1:37 mark of the second quarter, it marked the first time since WSU took the lead with 5:50 left in the third quarter against New Mexico that the Cougars have trailed. Cougars had gone 229:13 without trailing.

Washington State sophomore Kyle Basler's 68-yard third quarter punt was the longest of his career.

Washington State extended its long scoring streaks of 221 games overall, 214 Pac-10 games, and 176 Martin Stadium games.

Cougar wide receiver Scott Lunde accumulated a career-high 110 yards and tied his carreer high with eight receptions against Oregon State. His previous high was 78 yards against Stanford in 2002. Lunde also hauled in two touchdown passes, doubling his career total in that category.

Erik Coleman's fourth-quarter interception was the ninth of his career and the fourth of his senior campaign.

Jason David's interception in the fourth quarter was the 15th of his career. David has the second most interceptions for a career in WSU history.

WSU won their 25th straight game when scoring in the third quarter.

WSU rushed for five yards, its lowest total since negative seven against Oregon State in 1994.

WSU held Oregon State to 15 yards rushing, the fewest given up by the Cougars since minus 17 last season against Arizona.

WSU was intercepted five times, the most since throwing five interceptions against Stanford in 1998.

The seven turnovers by the Cougars were the most since committing seven (4 INT, 3 fumbles) in the 1992 season opener against Montana (WSU won 25-13).

WSU's D.D. Acholonu recorded three tackles for loss, all sacks, resulting in 22 total lost yards. He is now ranked on the following WSU career lists.
