PULLMAN, Wash. - With the school year finished and spring soccer at an end, the dynamic duo of Morgan Weaver and Ella Dederick are headed back to national team camp as the pair of Cougars rejoin the U-23 squad for the third camp of 2018. U-23 Head coach B.J. Snow announced the 23-member squad, made up exclusively of college players, that will take part in spring camp set for May 11-18 in Carson, Calif. 

Weaver and Dederick have become mainstays on the U-23 roster as of late after being called into camp for the first time at the end of 2017. The two were on the roster for the Thorns Spring Invitational in March as the national team took on three NWSL teams throughout their week in Portland. During the tournament, Weaver started two matches and saw action in all three, notching the game-tying assist in a 2-2 draw against the Portland Thorns. For Dederick, the senior started the final game of the tournament for Team USA, notching a 1-0 shutout of the Chicago Red Stars.

The two Cougs led WSU to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last season with Weaver pacing the offense with eight goals while Dederick came up with 11 shutouts defensively.
