Robert Franks Signs NBA Contract with the Hornets

Franks is currently playing for the Hornets in the NBA Summer League.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former Washington State men's basketball standout, Robert Franks, has signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets, President of Basketball Operations and General Manager, Mitch Kupchak, announced Tuesday.
An undrafted free agent, Franks player for the Cougars from 2016-19. The Vancouver, Wash.-native led Washington State and the Pac-12 and ranked 23rd in the nation with 21.6 points per game. He added a league eighth-best 7.2 rebounds per game. Franks finished his career eighth on WSU's single-season scoring list with 583 points and 14th in career points with 1,349.Â
He also ranks ninth in WSU's career record books for 3-pointers (166) and tied for fourth in the single-season books with 21.6 points per game. Last season Franks was named the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year. In 2018-19, Franks became the first Cougar to be named to the Pac-12 All-Conference First Team since 2015, as he also picked up USBWA District IX and NABC District 20 honors.Â
