The Hawaii Gatorade Player of the Year will join her sisters in 2018.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State women's basketball completed the trio of Molina's Wednesday during the early signing period as head coach June Daugherty announced the addition of Cherilyn Molina through her National Letter of Intent. Cheilyn becomes the first recruit to sign to the Cougs during the current recruiting cycle as she will join her sisters, Chanelle and Celena, on the Palouse in 2018.

"Cherilyn is a tremendous addition to our Cougar program," said Daugherty. "She is an awesome point guard that has a great knack for passing and shooting the three. The third Molina sister has signed her NLI and we could not be more excited for her future her."

A standout point guard at Konawaena High School, Molina enters her final high school season as the reigning Hawaii Gatorade Player of the Year as she took home the top honor for the first time as a junior last season. In addition to Gatorade Player of the Year honors, she was named the Hawaii High School Athletic Association and the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Player of the Year as well as first team all-state after leading the Wildcats to their third-straight state title. Against the best-of-the-best, Molina averaged 15 points, 6.1 assist, and 4.3 steals per game in the state championships en route to being named the HHSAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player. In each of her first three seasons, she was a Star-Advertiser All-State Fab 15 selection.

A multi-sport athlete, Molina led the Wildcat volleyball team to four-consecutive league titles while also taking home a state title as a freshman. Along with her sister, Celena, she took home a state championship title in the 4x400 relay as a sophomore. Off the court, Molina was given the National Athlete Scholar Award from the US Army Reserve last year.

Molina will have a chance to add to her legacy and the Molina lore this season as a senior when the Wildcats tip-off their new season Dec. 12.
