Thank you for providing us an opportunity to mentor your student-athlete. In creating a multicultural environment in the Washington State University Athletic Department, the Student-Athlete Mentor Program reflects in part the University's commitment to diversity.
A mentoring relationship provides the mentor with the opportunity to help student-athletes with professional and personal growth, as well as the satisfaction of assisting student-athletes in developing the skills necessary to become successful in all of their endeavors here at WSU. We are committed to producing student-athletes who epitomize professionalism.
In its 12th year of operation, our Student-Athlete Mentor Program has successfully taken positive steps to help student-athletes succeed and ensure their graduation from Washington State University. Our achievements continue to soar only because of our dedicated mentors, staff, and administration.
Given the importance of a college education in the life of a student-athlete, the mentor program can be a powerful educational tool. We are keenly aware of the high caliber of our student-athletes, and we are committed to continually looking for ways to improve the quality of their experiences here at Washington State University.
