Chris Opheim

Chris Opheim is in his fourth year as the Spirit Coordinator and Head Cheer Coach for the Washington State Spirit Squads. Since taking over the spirit squads program in fall of 2012, Chris has grown the cheerleading program into a nationally recognized and competitive collegiate cheerleading squad.

Chris is a 10 year instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Association, instructing at the high school, collegiate, and international levels for the 7 years. He is a member of UCA’s college staff, core instructional staff and curriculum development teams. He has judged the last 5 years in Orlando, FL for the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship, All-Star Nationals Competition, College Cheerleading Championship, and Worlds Cheerleading Championship hosted on ESPN.

Originally from Iowa, Chris is a former collegiate cheerleader for the University of Northern Iowa and University of Arkansas.

Kaila Wallace

Former Crimson Girl Kaila Evenoff returned to Washington State as the dance team's head coach in March of 2015

A 2010 graduate of WSU, Evenoff spent three seasons as a Spokane Shock Dancer from 2008-09 and 2012, three seasons in the NBA as a Denver Nuggets Dancer from 2010-11 and 2012-14 and one season in the NFL as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleader from 2014-15. She represented the Denver Nuggets Dancers at the 2014 NBA All-Star Game.

Evenoff started her collegiate career at UNLV and spent two years on the cheer team before transferring to WSU. At Washington State she joined the Crimson Girls where she was a member of the team from 2008-10. She graduated with a degree in apparel merchandising and design merchandising.

Evenoff was born in Seoul, Korea, and grew up in Spokane, Washington. She graduated from Mead High School in 2005, where she participated in gymnastics and track and field.
