CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Washington State University rowing senior,
Emily Morrow, has earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-America Honorable Mention accolades, the organization announced.
A native of Regina, Saskatchewan, Morrow ust concluded her fourth and final season with the Cougars this year, having rowed with the second varsity eight and varsity eight crews her entire career. She was stroke for the Cougars' varsity eight crew, which finished 14th as a crew, as the team placed 14th overall at the 2018 NCAA Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park at Sarasota, Fla. Also seated stroke in the varsity eight in 2017, Morrow helped lead her crew to 13th at the 2017 NCAA Championships as the team finished 14th. Morrow rowed with the second varsity eight at the 2015 and 2016 NCAA Championships, leading her crew to sixth place in 2015 as the team finished eighth, and 11th in 2016, as the team placed 12th. Morrow was also named All-Conference by the Pac-12 in May..
Morrow was named to the CRCA All-Pac-12 Team in June, which made her eligible to receive All-America Accolades.Â
In order to earn the honors, a student-athlete must have competed in 75 percent of the spring races and been nominated by her institution. The selections are based on the strength of finish of the institution's varsity eight within the country, coaches' comments and the student-athlete's 2k erg score.Â
