SPOKANE, Wash. -- Led by
Chrisshnay Brown's two wins, throwers from the Washington State track and field teams captured five titles Thursday night at the 7th Annual Whitworth Twilight at the Pine Bowl in Spokane.

Brown, a junior from Lompoc, Calif., won the women's shot put and discus. Her shot put distance of 45-feet, 1 1/2 inches (13.75m) was a season-best and she threw the discus 144-8 (44.10m).

Aoife Martin won the women's hammer with a throw of 178-7 (54.43m) followed by
Stacia Bell's PR toss of 163-4 (49.80m) for second place and
Lovely Tukuafu's toss of 125-3 (38.19m) for third.

Tyler Jackson won the men's discus with a throw of 162-11 (49.67m).
Brock Eager and
Wyatt Meyring finished one-two in the men's hammer with Eager's mark 221-6 (67.51m) and Meyring throwing 176-11 (53.93m).

- A limited number of Cougars will be competing Friday and Saturday at the 46th Annual Pelluer Invitational at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.
