PULLMAN, Wash. - In preparation for the Thorns Spring Invitational next week in Portland, the U-23 Women's National Team has called together another training camp to be held on the campus of the University of Portland beginning Thursday. Once again, the Cougs' standout duo of Morgan Weaver and Ella Dederick were invited back to camp as part of the 24-woman roster in preparation for the tournament which will run from March 11-17 as the USA will take on three NWSL teams. The invite marks the third-straight camp for Weaver while Dederick heads to her second-straight camp as one of just two goalkeepers brought to Portland by head coach B.J. Snow.

The two Cougars had a chance to play together wearing the US seal earlier in the year as the two took part in the first training camp of the year Jan. 4-11 at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif. While wearing the Crimson and Gray the two led the Cougars to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last season as Weaver led the offense with seven goals and 17 points while Dederick finished her third-season with 11 shutouts. Both took home All-Pac-12 Third Team honors for their play on the field in 2017.
