THIS WEEK: The WSU women's golf team is off to Tempe, Arizona to compete in the PING/ASU Invitational. The last time the Cougars played in the tournament was in 2016, where they tied for eighth with No.4 Northwestern and 2015 NCAA runner-up, No.54 Baylor.

 THE TOURNAMENT: The invitational will be held at the ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe. The course is a par-72, and a total of 6,223 yards. Teams will tee off the first two 18-hole rounds on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 a.m. The third and final round will tee off at 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

 THE FIELD: A stacked field joins the Cougars, including No.8 Arizona State, No.14 Washington, No.16 Arizona, No.18 Oklahoma State, No.19 Colorado, Denver, Fresno State, Georgia, Iowa, New Mexico, Oregon, TCU, and UNLV.

 LAST TIME OUT: The Cougars tied for sixth place in the Dr.Donnis Thompson Invitational, finishing behind four ranked teams including No.6 Texas who took the tournament title. WSU finished at 69-over par, just behind No.17 Oklahoma State, No.24 Houston, and No.31 Texas A&M. Senior

 COACHING STAFF: The team is led by ninth-year head coach
Kelli Kamimura, who led the women's golf team to a conference-championship team record for the lowest three-round and single-round totals at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships…WSU alumna Emma Betland is entering her third season as assistant coach…Betland golfed at WSU from 2010-2013.
