Lamb, Waltz and Lagat Advance at Olympic Trials

Washington State junior Matt Lamb threw the second-best distance in the men's discus qualifying round with Cougar alum Ian Waltz third in the prelims Friday night at the USA Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Bernard Lagat also advanced in the men's 1500m in weather conditions ideal for a distance runner, cool and overcast.
